Continuing road along Lough Foyle for 1.5 miles from Drung to gate-lodge
of Red Castle Demesne; winding avenue leads to house near the lough,
close to the mouth of a small river, (a mill race, threshing mill
and mill pond are 0.5 miles up this river. Arable. Excellent view.
Nothing of the original castle remains. The present house of the
same name, and built near the earlier site, is an 18th century building.
