Moville Community College News
The doors of Moville Community College opened on Wednesday, 31st
August, at 9am for incoming first year students. By September 5th
all students had returned to school and the new building was occupied
for the first time. Seventeen classrooms are now open for use including
a library, music/drama room, technology room and staff room. The
new school is a very impressive facility and the students feel privileged
to be the first to avail of it. Ten new staff members bring the
total number of school staff to 50.
Transition years went to a Science Exhibition in Dublin along with
Mr. O'Donoghue of 1st September 2005. A 100/150 mile club is being
arranged by Miss Hegarty, the idea being - to get fit and not sit.
It will be run over 10 weeks. The club was greeted enthusiastically
by students.
The Junior Cert results came out on Wednesday 14th September. The
students and teachers were very proud of their achievements and
warmest congratulations to all for their efforts. Mr Doogan brought
the students to The Foyle Hotel for a buffet on Wednesday afternoon
by way of a celebration. Former tutors also attended.
