Festival Of The Peninsula

Inishowen is gearing itself for the 2nd Festival Of The Peninsula. An exciting programme of events which begins across Inishowen tomorrow, 8th September.

The first Festival Of The Peninsula took place in Inishowen in September 2003 and the inaugural programme of activities represented an impressive coming together of arts, heritage, tourism, local authority and community development groups from across the region.

This year is no exception and the Festival has come about through a diverse dynamic input from a range of groups including Simply Music, The Inishowen Maritime Museum and Planetarium, The Cairn Theatre, Greencastle, The Wesley Hall, Carndonagh, The Inishowen Carnival Group, Tullyarvan Mill, Donegal County Council, The North West Tourism Authority and many more.

The result is a festival that includes events and activities for all ages, local people and visitors alike, and which showcases the arts, culture and heritage of the Inishowen Peninsula at its best.
