Success for Inishowen Country Markets
Members of inishowen Country Markets are celebrating this week
after winning the regional final of a national competition to find
the best country market in Ireland.
The County Markets orginisation is celebrating its 60th anniversary
this year and the competition is being organised, in assocaition
with Easy Foods to mark this important milestone.
Last Saturday members of Inishowen Country Markets travelled to
Ballina to compete in the West North Region semi-final of the competition
and were delighted to emerge as medal winners. They will now compete
with the other finalists at the national Ploughing Championships
in Carlow next September.
Meanwhile, the next Inishowen County Market takes place this coming
Saturday, November 26th in the Church Hall, Church Street, Buncrana
from 2-3 pm. With Christmas just around the corner there will be
lots of Christmas treats and crafts on sale. Orders will also be
taken for Christmas cakes, puddings, mince pies and other festive
goodies. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a cup of tea
and some delicious home made treats.
