Donegal Cancer Patients to meet TDs Senators and MEPs
Donegal Action for Cancer Care have invited elected representatives,
- TDs, Senator and MEPs for Donegal to meet representatives of the
DACC County Committee to discuss their campaign and the provision
of cancer services in Donegal. The meeting will take place in The
Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny next Monday 7th November 2005 at
8pm.
DACC Chairperson, Noelle Duddy said, "It is a measure of DACC's
success that we have secured this meeting with Donegal's TDs, Senators
and MEP's. To ensure that each Local Committee is represented at
this meeting, six people from each committee have been nominated
by their committee to attend, and they in turn will report back
to their individual groups."
DACC will outline their position, aims, objectives and demands
to the politicians. TD's Senators and MEPs are being asked to outline
their position regarding DACC's Campaign and the provision of cancer
services in Donegal. The following politicians will be attending:
Niall Blaney,TD; Mary Coughlan, Minister for Agriculture and Food:
Pat the Cope Gallagher, Minister of State at the Dept. of Communications,
Marine and Natural Resources; Marian Harkin, TD and MEP: Jim Higgins,
Senator and MEP; Cecilia Keaveney,TD: Jim McDaid, TD, Dinny McGinley,
TD; Joe McHugh, Senator. Apologies have been received from Séan
O Neachtain, MEP.
DACC have completed their addresses to Donegal's County and Town
Councils. All Councils have pledged their support and endorsement
of DACC's campaign.
