Childcare Centre for Greencastle
Greencastle Community Childcare is to get a new €1.2m state-of-the-art
childcare centre. The new centre, which is funded by the Government
will have the capacity to accommodate more than 70 children.
Christina McEleney, Manager of Greencastle Community Childcare,
said she was "more than delighted" with the announcement
by the Minister of Finance Brian Cowen. "It took three years
of hard work and dedication, many obstacles had to be faced and
overcome." She said. McEleney added that the new investment
would yield a number of new jobs for the area when the centre is
up and running. "Today has been a brilliant day for all the
staff, the volunteers and the management committee, past and present.
We look forward to the day when the doors of the brand new childcare
centre are opened."
