JULY 2005
Launch of "Golden Day" by Stephen Joyce
The Cairn Theatre in Greencastle was the setting for the gathering
of four of Inishowen's top writers recently and the occasion was
the launch of Golden Days in Donegal by new Inishowen writer Stephen
Joyce.
Stephen was delighted and honoured that Sean, Beattie, Jimmy McBride,
Hazel McIntyre, John A. McLaughlin and Evelyn Ruddy all took time
out to attend and support the launch and join in the celebratory
Scots-Irish evening.
The evening was a great success and Stephan was particularly pleased
that our Scots - Irish cultural links were at the heart of the evening's
presentations. One of the main aims of the book is to raise money
for Dyslexic children and their families in Inishowen, through Action
Inishowen and SOLAS"
"The books are now in the shops and I hope people across Inishowen
will feel that they or some member of their family can identify
with the stories in the book and go out and buy it for such a worthy
cause." said Stephen. If there are any difficulties buying
the book you can purchase it directly from Stephen at InishScot
Publications, 31 Dunvegan Drive, Glasgow G64 3LB, Scotland. The
price including packing and postage is only €13.50 or £10.50.
The books are on sale throughout Moville, Greencastle and Inishowen
Tourist Office in Carndonagh.
