Second Volunteer Fair in Inishowen

A number of Inishowen organisations with vacancies for volunteers will attend the second Volunteer Fair to be staged in the peninsula by Donegal County Council in association with the Donegal Volunteer Centre. The event will take place in The Inishowen Gateway Hotel, Buncrana on Tuesday 14th September from 7.00pm to 9.00pm.

A number of organisations that have volunteer vacancies will be present to inform those in attendance of the opportunities available. The organisations all have a base in the Inishowen area and are keen to get new volunteers involved in their work. Among those who will be attendance will be - Good Morning Service, ICR Community Radio, Moville Family Resource Centre, Irish Red Cross Centre, Children In Crossfire, Inishowen Women's Outreach and the RNLI.

The volunteer opportunities on the evening will range from participating in one off events to see if volunteering is for you to becoming involved with a group on a more permanent basis. Some of the areas where opportunities are available include - working with the elderly, outdoor volunteering, office based work, work in the media, life saving and working within the local community.
