Rescue Mission on Lough Swilly

A Sligo man had to be rescued last week when his leisure boat got into difficulty at Trawbeaga Bay. The man had tried unsuccessfully to anchor his boat in the bay, but it sank near the Isle of Doagh after being swept away in a strong current. The Sligo search and Rescue helicopter, the Buncrana RNLI crew and the Greencastle Coastguard were also involved in the rescue mission.
