Glenveagh National park
A six part series on Glenveagh National Park in Donegal is currently
being shown on B.B.C.2 each Tuesday evening at 7.30pm. The programme
covers all aspects of running the park including: guided hill walks,
the gardens, deer stalking, birds of prey displays, golden eagle
re-introduction, castle tours, fishing etc. The programme is mainly
in Irish with English subtitles. Buncrana falconer Martin Moloney
is to feature in the tonight's programme.
Martin displays his birds of prey each year at Glenveagh Castle
for the huge numbers of visitors who visit the park. He has a barn
owl, long eared owl, Harris hawk and a kestrel. Martin also does
a flying display with his Harris hawk in the gardens adjacent to
the castle. Each programme is repeated on B.B.C.2 the following
Thursday at 7pm.
