Derry Heat of the Third All Ireland Grand Poetry Slam Championships

Thursday 10 September
Café Del Mondo, Guildhall Square, Derry
7pm - 10pm

Open to poets living in the Ulster region over 18 years of age. Each poet must perform, recite and/or read a 3-minute self-composed poem on any subject, and have registered for entry by email or phone before 4pm on 10 September. There are 25 places in the regional heat on a first-come, first-served basis. No props allowed.

The winner will be decided by three most esteemed judges:
Raymond Craig, Hazel Philson and Eileen Walsh (Drive 105FM Radio) plus two lucky members of the audience.

MC for the evening will be the mighty Eddie Kerr, poet extraordinaire and raconteur himself.

All welcome to what promises to be a wickedly wonderful and wordy night!

Regional heats also include Belfast, Galway, Dublin, Cork and Limerick. Two winners from each province will go through to the All Ireland Grand Poetry Slam Final in Galway on 26 October. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place
