As part of his "World Tour of Donegal" Comedian Tommy Tiernan plays live gig in Buncrana 4th Dec

Irelands number one comedian Tommy Tiernan recently performed in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel in Buncrana, Co. Donegal. Originally born in Inishowen Tommy hasn't forgotten his Carndonagh roots as he has generously given all proceeds of the Buncrana gig to the Colgan Hall Restoration Fund in Carndonagh.

Not one to shy away from general controversy Tommy wooed the crowd on the night with his abundance of witty and well written jokes. One keen fan commented that "it really was a laugh a minute night".

Tommy has broken all Irish box office records and continues to sell out venues around the country. His success in Ireland has certainly helped him to launch himself on the worldwide stage. He recently left the stage of a gig in Montreal, Canada to a rapturous 2,500 standing ovation from the crowd.

At Easter Tommy set a new record in the Guinness Book of Records for the longest continuous solo show by a comedian (36hours 15minutes).

Tommy is sure to have a long and continued successful career and the people of Inishowen would love to see him back in the area soon!
