Carndonagh Students and Inishowen Choir on RTÉ this week
Four students from the Carndonagh Community school - Ryan McCormick,
Gráinne Byrne, Nicole Harley and Adam Doherty - spoke with
Roisin Duffy on Tuesday 14th October, in an hour long RTÉ
Priogramme called My Generation about what it's like to be
a teenager in Inishowen.
On Friday, 17th October the Inishowen Choir accompanied Duke Special
live on The Late, Late Show where they performed 'Sweet,
Sweet Kisses', off his new album.
My Generation was made earlier in the summer when Duffy and a TV
crew accompanied the teenagers as they went about their daily lives.
This is the second in a two-part series about teenage life which
last week focused on the lives of Dublin teenagers.
Local musicians continue their collaboration with Duke Special
with the Inishowen Choir - appearing with the Belfast-based artist.
"It's all starting to come together pretty well for us",
said choir director Kathryn O'Callaghan. The choir will perform
with Duke Special at album launches in Dublin and Belfast next Saturday.
Later this month the Gospel Choir will perform at the Belfast Festival
at Queen's with artists like Foy Vance and Bronagh Gallagher. BBC2
TV will broadcast footage from the Gospel Choir's recent concert
at McGrory's in a festival preview show on Thursday 23rd October.
