Moville Summer Festival & Regatta 2008

Moville Summer Festival 2008 is underway, and it is expected to be bigger and better than ever. The festivities started with the Festival Queen being Crowned on Thursday 24th July in the Town Clock,

The fun kicks off Wednesday 30th July 6pm - 9pm with the Car Treasure Hunt at McGettigans, although the official opening will be Friday 1st August at 7.30pm when the rocket will be launched at Moville Pier, subject to weather conditions.

Live music will be playing all around the centre of the town over the weekend. There will be stages on James Street, Market Square and the Malin Road. Most bars around the town will also be hosting live music.

There will be lots of excitement for the young people with a fairground and a bouncy castle.

The Moville Regatta 2008 starts Saturday 2nd August - 12 noon -Dinghy Race for the Trawlerman Cup followed by Dinghy Race for John Kirkland Cup.

Late licences have been obtained for the duration of the Festival and the committee wishes to emphasise that the Moville Summer Festival & Regatta promotes sensible drinking and requests that stewards and gardai are cooperated with at all times.
