JULY 2008
Cairn Theatre Group presents
The Cairn Theatre Group will present their new musical, "From
a Famine to a Feast," this Sunday at 8.30pm in the Cairn Centre,
Greencastle. Written and produced by singer-songwriter, Patsy Cavanagh,
the show celebrates Irish history from the mid 1800s to the present
day - through song, story and Irish dance - and will see the audience
share the highs and lows of successive generations on their journey
to our present Celtic Tiger lifestyle.
Patsy said: "Following the success of last year's show, 'A
Flight of Earls' musical, we decided to deal with a more recent
history and again present the whole story through the format of
a musical. Most of last year's cast plus a few interesting new faces
are performing and judging by the interest and inquiries to date
we are very hopeful the show will be well received."He added:
"Fine voices, quality Irish dancing costumes and backdrops
all combine to make this a lovely evening for tourist and locals
alike."Following the opening night "From a Famine to a
Feast" will then be presented every Tuesday at 8.30pm in the
Cairn Centre until the end of September. For more information or
