Donegal International Rally Returning to Inishowen

More than 20,000 rally fans are revving up for what is hoped will be the event of the year in Inishowen's calendar. After nearly a 30-year break in Buncrana the town is gearing up to see the Donegal International Rally which will be held on Friday June 18th.

It is expected more than 20,000 spectators will turn out to the event which one business man says spells out 'good news all round'. Francis Callaghan, a Buncrana business man and event organiser said he was thrilled the rally will be returning. He even played an instrumental role in influencing the decision to secure the prestigious event in the seaside town.

The event is being televised by both the BBC and UTV.

Spectators are urged to adhere to the instructions of marshalls and rally officials to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all.
