Moville Goes Back In Time
All roads lead to Moville for the 9th Annual Inishowen Vintage
Show in Carrick field which will take place on Saturday 12th &
Sunday 13th June 2010. Organisers are expecting large crowds once
more for this event, which attracted over 4000 people and 400 exhibits
last year.
This year an added attraction has been added. On Saturday night
12th June there will be a big band night live in the marquee. The
night will kick off with The Humble Earthworm at 9.30pm and Lightning
Strikes at 12. Tickets on sale from committee members at €10-00
each or pay at the gate on the night.
The show itself promises to be as fantastic as previous years. All
the usual stalls will be on show which will include:
Butter Churning
Steam Threshing
Slow Race
Barrel Push
Digger driving competition and
Roller reversing
There will also be various trade stands which will cater for all
tastes.
For the children there will be:
The Fun Fair
Bouncing castles and
Slides
Back by popular demand are the poteen makers
The first heat of the Irish Vintage Scene Fergusan 20 tractor build
will also take place with three teams already confirmed for the
day.
It is also hoped that up to 5 steam engines will be on display this
year.
On Sunday Afternoon, lively entertainment will be provided on stage
by the popular Ritchie Cavanagh.
