Moville Tidy Town Association says 'thanks'
Moville Tidy Town Association would like to thank Michael Gillen, Liam McDermott and Local FAS workers for the excellent work they have done throughout the town. Thanks also to Boyce Paints & Inishowen Co op for donating paint and a special thanks to Gillen’s Supermarket for sponsoring plants on Doogans Land and to Centra for sponsoring plants at the upper pier. Also to Moville Garden Centre for planting on the Derry road and town planters.
Due to the bad weather tidy town volunteers are very far behind schedule and are appealing to local businesses, residents visitors, holiday home owners etc to PLEASE help by taking any or some of the following actions: Pick up litter front and rear of your property. Remove weeds front and rear of your property. Ensure exterior paint-work in good order. Put up hanging baskets / window boxes. Remove chewing gum from pavements to the front of your property. Help at tidy town clean ups held Tuesday & Friday at 7pm starting from Serenity House.
The numbers attending these clean ups has been very disappointing and the committee hope that with an improvement in the weather more much needed helpers will come forward. Residents associations are urged to watch out for and enter Donegal County Council Estates competitions.
