St Eugene's Hall - Congratulates EBS Community Fund Winners

The group behind St. Eugene's Halls' bid for a cash windfall in the EBS Community Fund competition has sent their congratulations to the winners. A spokesperson for the group which recently carried out extensive refurbishment of the Moville hall, thanked everyone who had voted for them in the recent online poll. The spokesperson added: "Unfortunately we didn't win. However we offer our congratulations to a worthy winner Gorey Social Services Council who received the most amount of votes".

The winners will now receive a donation of 10,000 euro from the EBS Community Fund. Gorey Community Social Services Council is a 37 year old registered charity that focuses on the elderly and those in need through providing Meals on Wheels, offering food assistance at Christmas, providing elderly security systems, operating hospital visitations and community and volunteering programmes. The service represents real community spirit - recognising the importance of providing assistance to those isolated, the elderly, particularly in these challenging times.
