Sean Gallagher wins the Peter Leech Cup for 2nd Year!
Saturday 9th April saw a great turnout for the 4th year of the Peter Leech Cup. Some of Donegal's finest dart players showed up to try and win the popular competition. But for the 2nd year in a row, Sean Gallagher from Bridgend, claimed the title. He had a fight all the way against Anthony Worskey, from Newtoncunningham, and both players threw some outstanding darts in the final.
Sean took an early 4-0 lead, with a 13 dart finish, 2 17 darters and a 19 darter. Anthony fought back to 5 - 5 with top class darts. (15,16 and 18 darters). The final leg saw Sean throw 140, 140 and 138 to finish the game in 16 darts with Anthony just behind him on double top. (Semi final saw Anthony Workey defeat Junior Coyle from Bridgend 5 -1 and Sean Gallagher defeat Charlie Grant from Quigleys point 5-3).
The Leech family would like to thank all the dart players for their support and also The Trawlerman Bar for hosting the competition.
