Artists in Creative Enterprise
Hi folks
Here's a brief update on where we are at with WordFlight:
-2000 pieces of prose and poetry received
-70 + schools, colleges, youth centres, and relevant agencies involved
between Donegal, Derry, Tyrone
-Additional funding received from Excellence in Cities, England
-Poetry Chicks and ACE are off to Manchester, England, during April
to workshop seven inner-city schools
-Kerry White in USA completed 100 + in-school projects and has
performance readings planned with the press lined-up to cover
-Youth services in Italy have forwarded 200 + projects for translation
The WordFlight workshops will finish at the end of this month and
all writings must be submitted by 30 April 2007.
