APRIL 2007
Thank you from DACC
Donegal Action for Cancer Group is celebrating their second Anniversary.
The Group was set up to fight for better facilities for cancer
sufferers in the County, including many people in Inishowen. In
a joint statement the charitiy's co-chairpersons, Lynn McDevitt
and Noel Coyle, paid tribute to all those involved in the group.
"The journey has not been an easy one, but as cancer knows
no boundaries, we have overcome our differences to work for a common
cause, improved cancer services for the people of Donegal, on an
"equal access for equal need" basis. Credit for all the
great work does not belong to a few, but to everyone who has helped
in any way, be it in the giving of their time, donations, attending
meetings, photocopying, organisisng and distrinbuting information,
for local meetings etc., we have all togethrer contributed to our
sucess.
We in the DACC believe all people are equal. We must also acknowledge
the work and time that was given by those, who, for their own reasons
have chosen not to be part of DACC anymore. They too helped along
this journey.
