ICR Search NW for jobs.
Inishowen Community Radio in Carndonagh is searching for people
to take part in a new radio series proposed for the late Autumn.
ICR is looking for a total of eight "reality radio" stars
who are successfully self-employed, employed, employers or entreprenneurs.
The programes are provisionally called 'Just the Job' and are all
about people working full time in interesting careers in the North
West. Producer of the series, Rachal Blech, is hoping that the programmes
will reflect a day in the life of people who are passionate and
enthusiastic about their work - whatever it might be. The programe
style will be like 'reality TV for radio' in that we will be recording
the person at work, their daily routine and the situations that
happen. This means that we are looking for unconventional jobs with
interesting sound effects, locations and unusual hours. The key
factor is that we want to attract young listeners to the programme
so the participants must have lots of personality, be chatty and
articulate, well-informed and keen to offer advice on thier chosen
career path for younger listeners. The objective of the series is
to present a variety of financially viable career options that school-levers
and graduates might never have thought about or had a chance to
explore
Each programme will offer expert advice on the specific careers
portrayed and will have a panel offering advice on further education
and training aptitudes. qualifications, salaries, grants available
and local opportunities.
A small fee will be paid to individuals or businesses who take
part in the sereies. If you are an employee, then you will have
to have permission from your employer to take part in the programmes
and record activiites on their premises. If you would like to be
considered for one of the programmes please ring 0749370782 or send
an email to rachelblech@iolfree.ie
with your contact telephone number, job title and information about
what a day in your life at work might consist of. Potential cnadidates
will be selected early in May.
