NCT Centre for Carndonagh

Planning permission for Inishowen's new National Car Test (NCT) centre is expected to be granted in the coming weeks. Michael McLaughlin applied for planning permission to modify an existing machinery storage shed to an NCT vehicle testing centre at his lands on the Carndonagh-Malin road, which will be due to be decided by 19th January.

If the planning permission is granted, NCTS Ltd will operate the new test centre, which would be the company's 44th centre across the state, and the fourth in Donegal in addition to centres at Letterkenny, Donegal Town and Derrybeg, said a spokeswomen for NCTS. "This has been a long awaited development and we've had to be patient with the planning permission process." the spokeswoman said. "But we're glad to be finally able to facilitate people in Inishowen."
