Inishowen Beaches up to bathing quality standard

Inishowen's bathing beaches have retained their high standard with all four designated locations in the peninsula meeting European Union mandatory standard. The Inishowen beaches are Shroove, Culdaff, Buncrana, and Lisfannon. Another 15 beaches throughout Donegal also came up to standard.

The report was welcomed by Donal Casey, County Chemist, who said every effort was made this year for a repeat performance. "This report refers to the water quality and as such does not refer to Blue Flag status which covers other infrastructural areas in and around the beach.
