Derry and Donegal Diaspora project launch in Boston

Aeidín McCarter, Project coordinator of Derry Donegal Diaspora, has announced a US launch event in Boston on 23rd April to encourage emigrants in the US to consider returning home to work, set up a business or invest in the North West.

The Diaspora project is an initiative to reach out to emigrants from the North West who wish to return home to work, to set up a business in Derry or Donegal, or who can influence investment decisions which affect the region. As part of the project, an online Diaspora network was launched in 2007 to provide a way for emigrants to keep informed about developments in the North West and build up useful links with home. The network distributes a regular newsletter to members highlighting the latest business developments, investment news and career opportunities.
