Jane McCauley's unique talent

Ten year old, Jane McCauley from Greencastle, possesses the ability to speak backwards. Jane featured in a number of national newspapers last weekend and appeared on the Gerry Ryan radio show last Friday. She will appear on the Late Late Show this Friday, 29th February.

Jane is the daughter of Mary and local estate agent Leo McCauley, who have five children including two sets of twins. Mary said they were amazed when they first learned of their daughters talent. "We only found out about it on New Year's Day when Jane announced to her cousins she could do it. I looked on the Internet to see if I could find anything about it but the only other person I found was a man who appeared on America's Johnny Carson Show years ago. I contacted Gerry Ryan Show to see if they knew anything and it has just gone on from there. I think she had probably been able to do it since she learned to read. If she can spell it then she can say it backwards. What's so amazing about it is that it's so instant." Mary said her daughter is "loving the excitement" of being a celebrity and "can't wait" for her Late Late Show appearance.
