Bronagh Holmes wins top fashion award
Bronagh Holmes from Moville has been awarded Best New Designer
in the UK Fashions Awards. Bronagh, 26, is the daughter of Jackie
and Eileen Holmes, Moville. Bronagh learned of her win when returning
to London on 1st January after spending Christmas in Moville with

don't have a motorbike myself but I love motorbikes and everything
to do with them. My All Black collection incorporated a few elements
from biker clothing and actual bike parts. I wanted to create something
special, something with an edge yet feminine and glamorous. My collection
makes women look like women, but who can kick-ass at any given moment."
Bronagh who studied Art at Carndonagh Community School, also studied
at NWIFHE in Derry and completed a one year fashion course at Galway.
She explained that her winning collection was what she created in
2007 for her final year as a fashion student at the University of
Westminster, where she graduated with a BA Honours in Fashion Design
and immediately got a job with the Amanda Wakeley design house.
