Donegal Action for Cancer Care Rally

The following information has been sent to us by Mary McCallion.

Are you and your family aware that the cancer services at Letterkenny General Hospital will be withdrawn on a phased basis from 1st June 2006. This crisis has arisen because Health Service Executive (HSE) have failed to appoint a permanent breast surgeon. Donegal Action for Cancer Care (DACC) have been left with no other option but to hold a major public rally and we are appealing for your support.

The Rally will be held on Sunday 14th May in Letterkenny.
Starting point will be the Town Park (across from Hospital) at 2.00pm. The rally will walk to the Market Square where there will be speakers to address the crowd.

We are appealing to individuals /organisations /groups/ schools throughout Donegal to organise their members to come and participate. Bring your banners/ posters with you on the day.

The people of Donegal needs to send out a LOUD & CLEAR message to our Public Representatives, Government, and HSE that we demand better health services in Donegal.
