International Men's Health Week

Inishowen's first ever International Men's Health Week event will begin this Saturday 30th June with a talk on men's health in the Caiseal Mara Hotel, Moville, from 10am to 2pm.

According to David Simpson, one of the organisers, the event would give men the opportunity to see a nurse and a chance to hear about what's been happening for men in Inishowen.

He added: "This year is especially timely as the government has produced the first Irish national men's health strategy. Men have already been meeting in Inishowen around health, being fathers and being male carers. Men's groups have been running in Moville and Buncrana, fathers' groups and courses have run in Carndonagh, Moville and Buncrana and an Inishowen men's helpline now exists.
