Charity Traditional Concert

A number of Ireland's leading traditional musicians, singers and dancers are gathering in Buncrana Friday, 16th January to perform in a concert in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel in aid of the local Irish language preschool An Naionra Gaelach.

Taking part will be Dermot Byrne and Ciaran Tourish of Altan, they will be joined by Kevin Doherty (4 Men and a Dog) and Paul Rodden (Mr. Midnight). Keenan Barrett and Anne Nelson, new traditional band Dalltach, Dinny McLaughlin and guests and the Elliott School of Dancing will also take part. The group Dalltach comprises some of the better musicians in the business, Michael Carey on whistle, Matt McGanaghan on fiddle, Tom Byrne on accordion and harmonica and Michael Gallanagh on guitar and vocal. Compere for the evening will be Jimmy McBride.

Tickets for the concert are €10 and can be purchased at Inishowen Gateway Hotel and Mac's Book Shop on Main Street, Buncrana. Doors open 8pm and curtain goes up at 8.30pm.
