Moville Road Improvements
Marian McDonald, Donegal County Councillor, has welcomed the allocation
of €103,000 to be spent on the Glencrow Road, Moville.
"These much needed improvement works, which will commence
this year, will include overlay blacktop and bitmac and once housing
developments are complete will include the provision of a footpath
from Inishowen Co-op upwards. While I welcome this news, I have
reemphasised to the road design section of Donegal County Council,
the need to improve the junction at the Presbyterian Church and
provide a footpath from the Junction of the Co-op. They have assured
me that they are considering the options at the present for this.
Said Colr. McDonald, who said she had lobbied consistently for the
Glencrow improvements.
Works are also expected to begin at Casey's Corner junction to
include realignment. Meanwhile, the local councillor said the Council
was hoping to work with the local Fás scheme to provide a
footpath from Carnagarve to Ballybrack. "As this is a popular
walking route I have been lobbying for improvement works here for
some time. I am delighted that this work will commence shortly."
she said.
