Cinemobile returning to Inishowen

The cinemobile looks like an ordinary articulated trailer but it hydraulically expands into an air conditioned 100 seater cinema and is only takes an hour to set up or dismantle.

The Cinemobile, a millennium project, has been touring the 32 counties of Ireland for the past three years showing films to schools, youth groups, film clubs, festivals and the general public. It shows a section of up to date cinema releases and a choice of children's films each day. Tickets are €4.50 for daytime screening and €6.50 for evening screenings.

The mobile cinema will visit Moville, Carndonagh and Culdaff. (Check our What's on Section for dates and venues). The movies on show will be: Robot - (General). Animated film for children of all ages - Spongebob Squarepants. The Movie - (General). Film version of the popular children's cartoon Laura's Star (Parents Guidance). Hide and Seek (16). Thriller staring Robert DeNiro and Dakota Fanning: Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (12A) - Film adaptation of the popular book. The Interpreter (12) Action Adventure staring Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn. Public screenings will be at 3.00, 5.00pm and 8.00pm except on Saturday when it will be 12.00am and 3.00pm. During the week mornings are available for bookings from schools and local groups.
