Ploughing Championship Returns to Inishowen after 43 years!
Inishowen Ploughing Association, a newly formed Committee, are
holding their first Annual Ploughing Championship in Carrick Field,
Moville, on Saturday 15th January 2005.
Ploughmen from Donegal and Northern Ireland will be taking part
in this event. Up to ten different classes of ploughing ranging
from horse ploughing, digging and every type of tractor right up
to the modern day four wheel drive reversible.
The 12 acre field is located half a mile from Moville on the Greencastle
Road. The field formerly known as the 'Horse Racing Field' is one
of the most suitable sites for this type of event, with excellent
access from the Foyle Ferry and local traffic.
Ploughing will commence at 11am sharp on Saturday 15th January.
Refreshments will be available in the field. Entries to the event
