Movie in Culdaff
Culdaff Village was buzzing this week when filming began on the
new Irish film 'Dead Long Enough'. The movie is a romantic comedy
and tells the story of two Welsh brothers who return to a small
Donegal village where they spent a working vacation a number of
years previously.
Angeline Ball from 'The Commitments' is appearing in the movie
and the director and producers were keen to hire some local people,
such as Aoife Deeney from Buncrana and Morvana Parkingson Moville.
The screenplay of the film, which is supported by the Irish Film
Board and the Northern Ireland Film and Television Commission, is
based on a novel by James Hawes, who co-wrote the script with director,
Tom Collins from Derry. The Director's previous works include Teenage
Kicks - The Undertones.
Shooting will continue in the picturesque village of Culdaff for
around three weeks when the action moves to Wales for further filming.
