Broadband for Moville

Deputy Cecilia Keaveney has been informed by Eircom that Moville is now to receive broadband in the Eircom roll out that will take place from September to December of this year 2005.

In welcoming the announcement of the second round of the Group Broadband Scheme, Deputy Keaveney acknowledged the relation of criteria, the increase in Grant Aid available, and, most significantly, the offer by the Dept of Communications of support staff to assist develop Group applications.

"Leaders are working hard in this area to co-ordinate public interest with possible solutions and they will have a roll to play alongside the outside supports that are being offered. It makes sense to develop many areas that are geographically united and to progress multiple applications in that this will develop economies of scale," said Deputy Keaveney.
