St Patrick's Festival - Moville
The St Patrick's Day Festival Committee would like to extend a
Cead Mile Failte to all our visitors from Northern Ireland and Scotland.
It is sure to be a great week with something for everyone.
An open invitation is extended to all groups and organisations
from throughout the North West to participate in the Parade. There
is no entry fee.
The committee would appreciate the public supporting the Lucky
Shamrock Draw which is a fund raiser to meet all costs connected
with the parade and no other ticket selling is allowed.
Spectators are requested to obey directions from the Gardai, the
Civil Defence and the Stewards.
Friday 11th March - Ceili Mor - St Eugene's Hall. 10pm to
1am. Music by The Ardmore Ceili Band Adm €5 (including supper)
Wednesday 16th March - Yarnspinning in Trawlerman Bar 9.30pm.
Featuring three times winner of The Bard of Armagh - Patsy O'Hagan.
Thursday 17th March - St Patrick's Day Parade. 2.30pm sharp.
Featuring stilt walkers, balloon modeling, floats, bands and a special
appearance of St. Francis Marching Pipe Band (celebrating their
75th Anniversary) direct from Glasgow. Open air concert before and
after the parade with The Outlaws. GAA Tournament Final in Carrick
Field 12pm for The Trawlerman Cup.
Friday 18th March - Presentation for Cups and Trophies for
Best Floats and Window Displays in Corner Bar 9.30pm.
Saturday 19th March - Country Market in Methodist Hall 2pm.
Sunday 20th March - History Tour (via Moville, Muff and Buncrana)
2pm. BOOKING ESSENTIAL.
