'The World Cruise returns to Inishowen'

The World Cruise is the North West's only music programme bringing the best of international roots-based music and global fusion to a local audience.

The programme started November 2000, and earlier this year Rachel Blech was invited to create a similar programme for RTE Radio 1. The World Cruise returns to the local airways again on Sunday 21st November at 5.30 on Inishowen Community Radio as part of the new ICR RM programme schedule (tune in via 105 and 107.6 FM in Derry/Donegal.)

For the shows forth birthday this year Rachel will be joined by eminent world music guests to share the annual celebrations. The world Cruise birthday outing will be co-navigated by two popular DJs on the European club scene in recent times - Max Reinhardt and Rita Ray of the afro-digital dance project, the Shrine Synchro System.

Since the original launch of The World Cruise on ICR FM, Rachel has gone on to present music for RTE Radio 1 and RTE lyric FM, BBC, Radio Ulster and the Q Radio Network. During the month of November she will be presenting the Mystery Train on RTE Radio 1 (weekdays 8.30-10.00pm)

The Shrine Synchro System will be in McGrory's of Culdaff, on Saturday 13th November.
