Hair today, gone tomorrow for Moville lads

Eleven participants took part in a sponsored waxing in aid of Childline at Maguies bar, Moville. The participants were Mark Donaghy, Cathal Kelly, Eddie McLaughlin, Danny Skelly, Liam Skelly, Shane Carey, Michael Gerard McDermott, Colm Doherty, J.P. McDaid, Seamus Bovaird and Michael Thomas Cavanagh. The macho posturing of the volunteer beforehand quickly evaporated as the waxing began.

The hair raising event raised the considerable sum of €1,260 for Childline. Praise must go to the eleven lads who put themselves up for the punishment. Special thanks to Laura Bonner, Lisa McDermott and our kind sponsors Utopia Beauty Salon for helping out with the waxing (although judging by the smile on the girls' faces, seeing the boys reactions when their hair was pulled off was thanks enough!).
