These photographs were taken from a copy of Life Magazine dated 13th October 1958. The story that went with it was fascinating, unfortunately some of the pages were missing from the copies which were given to me. I tried to get in touch with Life Magazine before Christmas 2007 and failed to get a reply. On 3rd March 2009 I received an email from Sonya Hill. Sonya writes, "my mother's father is Harry Richard Montgomery, who was born in Hot Springs AK April 12, 1938. His dad was, Harry Alexander Montgomery and his mom was Mary Elizabeth Daley. Harry Alexander Montgomery's dad was Alexander W. Montgomery". Attached to the email were the missing pieces of the above article.
