A six week course will commence shorty in the Carrowmenagh Community Centre called 'Claycraft'. Using the medium of potter's clay various methods of producing pots will be explored. The course will cover hand building, through to finishing and decorating the pots. Participants will also have the opportunity to use the potters wheel which is always good fun. If you, or someone close
to you, is effected by depression or anxiety STEER's Supported
Recovery Programme will help you recover confidence, self-esteem
and emotional well-being. Run in partnership with Donegal VEC,
the programme is based in Letterkenny and takes place over ten
weeks. Classes include: Stress Management and Relaxation, Communication
Skills, Art as Therapy and Introduction to Computers. The programme
is free of charge and all services are provided by full trained
staff who understand the difficulties of coping with mental
health-issues. Men and women of all ages are welcome to attend.

Centre - Badminton Night (Wednesdays) now runs from 7-00-8.00pm
for 10 to 14 years olds and 8.30-9.30pm for over 14. Children
under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. If parents wish to
organise a session for under 10s that can be facilated. Badminton
courts set up on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10.00am until 4.00pm
and Saturdays if required. |
